Watch the video below. It sets out the future workforce crisis, which though daunting, is also exciting from a training point of view. One of the strategies that will get us through the crisis is training and development.
Two things trouble me about the video though. One, Australia is not represented which surprises me, but we must be insignificant. I have seen similar figures for Australia’s workforce so we are not exempt. Two, all of the very clever projections are based on the fact that we are going to continue to grow and consume. I don’t think the world can bare that and I hope that somewhere between now and 2030 we start to realise this.
