Here’s a great article from the Harvard Business Review which basically says that reading is good for you and has many business benefits apart from being just good entertainment. Now that should be good news for all those trainers who got books for Christmas. I have said many times in this blog and in my videos that reading is essential for trainers. Our whole job is about words. We write, speak, listen to and assess words. I created the video below two years ago and my message hasn’t changed. Check it out.
By the way my favourite books for the year (what I can remember) are:
Seth Godin – Linchpin
Seth Godin – We are all Wierd
The Dragon Tattoo series – Larsson
The Trail – Franz Kafka
Switch – Chip Heath
Leviathan or the Whale – Philip Hoare
The death of Bunny Munro – Nick Cave
Run – Dean Karnazes
What did you enjoy reading in 2011?
