Teaching literacy with elearning

One criticism over the years has been that language, literacy and numeracy does not translate to elearning or that it would be very ineffective. Personally I haven’t read too many articles or research refuting these claims or adding anything positive to the argument. Of course elearning is changing rapidly as the technology changes and due to the ease of audio, video and graphic creation the successful teaching of language, literacy and numeracy should actually be enhanced by good elearning resources. But where’s the proof? Fortunately a team of people have summed it all up for us by releasing their Elearning for adult literacy, language and numeracy: a review of the literature” project . By clicking on that link you will go to the detailed summary but if you want read it all then continue clicking through the pages. My summary of their summary is that elearning is very useful and effective in LLN if certain requirements are met. It is a very positive report.
