How do you remember what to say in a presentation? It is a difficult question really and most likely the best results will come from different techniques for different people. Here is a good article covering this topic but it is not really how I would do it. It is important to clarify here that you only need a certain remembering technique if it is critical for you to get your presentation word perfect. If it doesn’t need to be word perfect, or close to it, then you just need a few key points and off you go. I did make that sound easy but with some practice it is that easy. Everyone can do it. I do like PowerPoint as a technique, in particular just a word and a good graphic which then triggers my thoughts and what I wanted to say, but this is no help when a projector, computer and even power is not available. My best technique, the one I use the most, repeat the presentation as many times as you can, out load, or in your head, prior to the event, and you will be in great shape to make a good presentation. Sounds like hard work? Yes it is. But when you need a word perfect presentation this is the only way I can do it without using technology. I am intrigued by the article though.
