This is a good HR story. I’ve been involved in restructures and closures with many people losing their jobs. Over the last 10 years I have observed many poor (in particular government) restructures, mergers and voluntary redundancy debacles. The article below outlines how Amazon is training its staff to have new jobs, that in many cases may exist outside of Amazon, due to the robotizing of its warehouses. This is how it should be done. A good case study for anyone teaching HR or good leadership.
