I have just spent 5 weeks with a sporting team on a training camp and note that they spent considerable time on the internet scouring and posting on social media. The whole time I was thinking if only I could sneak some learning and development into the time they spent surfing facebook and Twitter.
We did conduct a master class on Linked In which I think could become a useful tool for developing a professional profile and engaging in debates they are passionate about. However I still wonder how I can utilise facebook as an education tool. A quick search and I found that there is already a facebook page dedicated to gathering information on how educators can best use facebook. Within the wall post’s I found this article that includes 50 tips on how and why it is a good tool for classroom learning. It is definitely worth a try!
