Exercise to Learn

This is an interesting article on the benefits of exercise on the brain. Really that is a no-brainer in itself as I assume most people believe that exercise keeps the brain healthy but research has indicated that exercise increases mental functioning in particular memory and recall. Maybe as trainers and educators we should space our learning out with activity and then real activity ie a set of exercises. You not only get fitter/healthier but you increase your brain capacity and increase your ability to learn the topic at hand. Three in one. Awesome. Only problem with that plan is that many participants may not want to exercise. How would you feel if I delivered a learning session interjected with 20 minute periods of exercise? It would be different. Maybe I will give that a go next year……..?
