I think it was Mark Zuckerberg who said that everyone should know at least some programming, coding skills. As a trainer, educator and instructional designer I think it is critical. If you want to provide direction and input into where education and training is going you are going to have to be able to talk to, if not assist programs to design better learning systems. With that in mind you might want to join me and I am sure many others as we get a taste of programming at UNSW on their openlearning program via the internet. It starts on the 3rd of December and its free. Who knows you may have some hidden talents.
