Developing Empathy

I have been covering emotional intelligence and especially empathy a great deal lately in training sessions and have a few sessions coming up next week. To develop empathy you need to talk about it, learn what it feels like and experience it. I have provided two good videos below which will assist with this process.

The best way to do it. Watch the movie ‘Manchester by the Sea’. Amazing movie and not a movie I would generally watch. I will not reveal anything about the plot but you will torn apart in every direction and you will feel empathy. It is currently on Netflick if you can’t get a copy of it from some where.

One response to “Developing Empathy”

  1. Watched “Manchester by the Sea”, had to stop myself from doing what was highlighted in the Brene Brown video – and really it highlighted why you just can’t jump in to fix or look for the silver lining with other people’s experiences. Good work Darren.
