This is a very interesting video clip. It provides an amusing but shocking example of how we treat children and I am sure adults who do something different to the norm. Good training should be creative but often our creative urges are tempered by how we think people will react. The same goes for our trainees who may be hesitant or downright reluctant to show any creativity in a training session as it may cause ridicule and loss of workplace esteem. As trainers we must demonstrate creativity, foster it, recognise it and provide positive feedback to ensure that creativity is seen as an important and desirable behaviour. Creativity leads to innovation.
