Coaching, whether it is life, work, business or team coaching is a huge business. It can often be very helpful to have someone else to talk to and bounce ideas off. The coach can then help you to set goals and objectives and work out a plan to achieve these. Of course not many of us have the time and money to consult a professional coach. Why not do it yourself? Doing it yourself may not have the advantage of getting another point of view but it is quick, easy, happens around your own time frames and doesn’t cost a cent. The same principles that many of you have learnt in how to coach someone else can be applied to yourself even down to asking yourself a set of questions and of course answering them honestly. The key to self coaching is complete honesty with your self. Don’t try to fool yourself. Be realistic and listen to your own inner voice. For some simple tips on self coaching this recent blog post is very helpful.
