I have been doing some writing about business goals, team goals and KPI’s this week. Exciting stuff. Dan Pink, love his books, has just sent out a short video on this which uses index cards. I am going to do this in future. I usually just ask a team the question – “why are we here, what is the goal”. This generally leads to confusion and many different goals. If you don’t know what the goal is then we are potentially all heading in the wrong direction. Also we are by definition not a team anymore. A team being a group of people heading towards a common goal. Good activity.
