Occasionally I send out a post on brain myths because, well it is just irritating, that some organisations and trainers just don’t keep up with some of the new information on the brain due to advances in research. It’s not difficult. You just need to read occassionally. I recently delivered a program with a whole section devoted to right and left brain thinking and had to make up a way around it so that the participants were not confused.

Also neuroscience. We want a trainer with neuroscience experience. Do they really know what that means? Look it up. It is the study of the nervous system. I don’t think that is going to help them in their training efforts. I think I know what they mean but it can go in some many directions now from NLP to mindfulness to emotional intelligence to just a better understanding of how the brain learns and reacts.

Keep it simple.
